Hello there!
I am Ashley, a geologist turned at-home mom turned small business owner. Rocks and volcanoes are my jam! Besides being outside, my passions also include knitting, working out, being at the beach, and making and enjoying foods that are allergy-friendly. You can find me having random impromptu dance parties with whoever wants to join!
I am married to a handsome guy I met on my first day of college. It was love at first sight. I have a beautiful spitfire daughter, who keeps me on my toes and a handsome little guy, who is a mama’s boy through-and-through. We live in a cute lil old farmhouse in suburbia. It is quaint and cozy, and it is our pride and joy.
Where did Lava Yourself originate? Life can get hard, and we can all use some extra love. So I created a brand around loving yourself infused with my love of Geology, which starts with self-care. Self-care comes in many forms from healing to wearing beautiful crystals to enhance your beauty to wrapping yourself up in a cozy blanket while relaxing too. For me, making these unique knitted creations are a form of meditation infused with love for myself and love for the person or family receiving the gift (heart chakra activation).
Furthermore, after a difficult few years of recovering and healing from decades of using doctor-prescribed steroids that caused organ failure, I embraced natural and holistic ways of healing. You can read more about topical steroid withdrawal in my blog. This expanded my view of life, and I accepted my spiritual gifts from the Divine. As a shaman and spiritual alchemist, I have expanded my business to help others explore a deeper path to healing leading to empowerment.
