Hello there!
I am Ashley, a geologist turned at-home mom turned small business owner. Rocks, crystals, and volcanoes are my jam! Not only did I study a volcanic basin for my master's degree in New Mexico, but I have traveled to see many volcanoes in the Virgin Islands, Italy, Ecuador, Peru, and of course the good ol' USA. Besides being outside, my passions include being active, cheering on my kiddos at their various events, volunteering, meditating, enjoying allergy-friendly foods, and energy healing.
To share a bit about my family, I am married to a handsome guy I met on my first day of college. He is a very talented artist and too modest to say so. We have a beautiful, spitfire daughter, who loves to dance, and we have a handsome little guy, who is full of energy. We live in a cute little old farmhouse in suburbia. It is quaint and cozy, and it is our pride and joy.
So where did Lava Yourself originate? Life can get hard, and we can all use some extra love. So I created a brand infused with my love of geology, especially volcanoes, that includes loving yourself, which starts with self-care. Self-care comes in many forms from healing, meditating, going on adventures, nature walks or simply being alone for a few minutes.
Furthermore, after a difficult few years of recovering and healing from decades of using doctor-prescribed steroids that caused organ failure, I embraced natural and holistic ways of healing. You can read more about topical steroid withdrawal in my blog.
This expanded my view and purpose of my life. I have also opened myself to and accepted my spiritual gifts from the Divine. As a healer and spiritual alchemist, I have created my business to help others explore a deeper path to healing leading to empowerment, and that is how Lava Yourself was born.
